Prior to immigrating to Canada in 1989, Neville Joffe enjoyed a 20 year career as President of a manufacturing business in South Africa. It was through this experience that he first recognized the bottom line benefit of educating employees at all levels in his organization as to the financial consequences of their actions. However, his initial attempts to teach finance in the traditional way were frustrating because people with a non-financial background lacked a shared frame of reference to tackle financial issues.

Neville developed a highly graphic, tactile, and interactive process that helped his employees link their actions to the company’s bottom line. The results of this program were phenomenal as company profitability achieved record highs and the business was recognized as a world leader in its industry. After selling his interest in the business, Neville devoted two years of his life to perfecting this new learning method. As a result, an innovative financial training firm called AME Learning was born.

Business leaders, employees and students all helped grow the business through word of mouth marketing. The tangible results from participant experiences continue to speak for themselves. AME Learning was awarded the prestigious Otter Award from the Canadian Society for Training & Development for the best training program of the year in 1999. To foster growth worldwide, Neville hand-picked and trained seasoned business professionals with vast financial and industry experience to become AME facilitators for in-class training. To further enhance the learning experience, a new eLearning division was launched to produce a suite of innovative AME eProducts that replicate the program’s successful classroom approach via web-based applications.
